The Mermaids of the last post are part of an illustration for a little story written by Chus Díaz called "A circus under the sea". I'm posting the link above.
If you don't speak spanish it is about a little boy who used to listen to the stories of his grandfather about his sailing adventures. The ones about a circus under the sea were his favorites but as years pass and the kid grows up, that fun children's story is transformed into a horror tale where the sea creatures capture a human to be kept into a crystal cage as the main attraction of the freak show until it dies.
The ending of the story remains open with the protagonist lost at sea and the possibility of spend the rest of his life as part of the circus he once dreamt about.

Now you can see what got the mermaids attention in the last entry:
Mystery solved :) I'm a horror fan so I hope this is creepy enough for you.

This is equally cool and creepy, Ana! The art is awesome (as usual) and the story reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode! Great post.

hey Ana, ahh yes it is creepy enough for me.! It's a wonderful work, full of little intriguing elements and a composition that takes us around and around, always aware of the figure in the middle and the horror they are feeling - and of course we place ourselves in that figures position - scary as!
that lobster is looking pretty snappy! What a story, great post Ana.
Great illo, so many details! Love the color palette too :>
Have a SUPER week, Anna !
WOW, creepy and very, very cool, Ana! The details in this piece are fantastic - and what a story! Great job Ana!

y todo el pueblo del mar! ...
Love the old school fell to this! Great design throughout...
